More May fun

Ari made me a delicious Mother's Day breakfast. He made biscuits FROM SCRATCH, and he put cheese and bacon in it for my own homemade McDonald's breakfast.  It was perfect.

The boys worked hard to decorate this sign for Mimi.

Then we drove out to Denton and met Scott there too to surprise her.  We brought flowers, a sign, and a book the boys made. It was a fun visit.

The next day was my birthday. We still had to do some homeschool, but we took most of the day off. I took the boys to Arbor Hills Nature Preserve to hike and play in the creek before we picked up pizza for dinner.

They had a great time skipping rocks and playing in the water.

As always, Zev can't resist the mud.

Tahl took a spill tush first into the mud.

On Friday we drove up to Tyler State Park to visit with Pops, Gram, and Uncle Jacob. It was Gram's birthday! The kids were very excited to see everyone and have a very different day.

We saw some cool bugs.

I took the kids on a hike after our picnic lunch.

I got a pretty good picture of all three boys (with crazy quarantine hair and all) on a bridge.

Who knew my kids would love pinecones so much?

Zev wouldn't stop talking about how the pinecones were amazing and so symmetrical.

They also love to walk on a good log.

And be silly.

They loved the waterfall at the end of the trail.

Maya loved it too. She was talking to the moths, flowers, birds, and frogs the whole walk.  She was sure she heard an owl, but I didn't hear it.

On our way home we picked up some ice cream in honor of Gram's birthday.

Maya ended up needing a second bath for the day. Yum.

We are ready to celebrate Zev's birthday next!
