May

May was a big month with lots of fun end of the school year activities.

Here is Tahl at the Dallas zoo with his best friend.

Zev's last cub scout meeting.

Zev as a "carnivore" for the vocabulary parade. He did a great job.

Zev and Tahl went to visit Tyler over Memorial Day weekend.  Here they are swimming with Jake and Tiara.

Ann Marie and I went that same weekend to meet one of the candidates running for congress in our district.  We are hoping to help him beat our incumbent!

Tahl and his best friend again at kindergarten water day!

Tahl's whole class with the Brentfield Bobcat.

T saying goodbye to his sweet kindergarten teacher.

He was so lucky to have Mrs. Hydrick this year.

Costumes?

Here I am dressed up for a "college" themed party on Saturday night. I am supposed to be a frat boy.  Do I pass?

On Monday it was career day at school.  Here we have Dr. Lund, wearing his NASA identification badge as a "rocket design specialist."

My favorite zoo keeper for career day too...

While they were at school I found this. Ari said that Tahl made it for Zev using a book he liked as inspiration.  Boys are gross.

While the big boys were at school, Isaac was playing in the backyard.

Needless to say, he figured out how to turn on the water hose...

We love to dress up, or in Isaac's case, just change clothes three times in one day...

Buddy fun day

The big guys had Buddy Fun Day on Friday.  I didn't know what a big deal it was, but they had the best time ever.

I took Isaac to the zoo that day with family friends.

We had fun checking out the new hippo exhibit.

They loved all the statues.  All these boys are the same!

It cracks me up that our friend Munch is shooting spider webs in every picture.

He loves Spiderman just a "little" bit.

Here are the boys checking out a gorilla up close.

After his busy day at Buddy Fun Day, T fell asleep that night n the way to a birthday party. I tried really hard to wake him up, and this mess is what I got.

I got him up eventually, and though it took a while for him to wake up all the way, he ended up having a great time at his dance party.

Next year, I will know what a big deal Buddy Fun Day is, and I'll be sure not to sign him up for anything else that day!

Zev's birthday

I cannot believe that Zev was EIGHT this week! HOW??

Here is his room the night before. He wanted decorations he could keep up for a few days...

At breakfast he opened his presents... Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find them from the Richardson's.

...The Exploding Kittens Game and Pokemon cards from Pops and Gram.

Mimi brought Zev a new CD player and these red noses for all the boys.

Zev had a great day at school. I was his mystery reader, and Isaac and I brought him Chic-fil-a.  I forgot to take any pictures, but trust me, he liked it. He had cupcakes with has class during recess. Then, here he is after school with his name on the marquee

He spent his afternoon doing one of his favorite things; building legos.

We had the dinner he requested of steak, baked potatoes, and broccolini.

For dessert he wanted Drumsticks just like Tahl.

I can't tell you how much I love Zev, and how much he has grown this year.  We are so, so, so proud of him.  We can't wait to see what eight brings!

Our Last Day in San Diego

On our last day in San Diego, Isaac just wanted to play!  We found a children's museum to visit.  All the boys loved it.

Here is Tahl digging up some dinosaur bones.

Isaac made me a pie.

He loved the bubbles, the dramatic play for the hospital and the french market, and he loved working in their garden.

After the morning at the museum, we ate a picnic lunch at the beach, and even did a little bit of playing in the sand.

This guy got wet, which is he wasn't supposed to do, so Ari had to hang his pants out the window while we drove to try to dry them out.

Zev had fun building a sand castle.

Then we walked over to see the seals.

It was so fun to see them so close in their habitat.

Tahl was barking at them to get their attention.

There were tons of cute baby ones, and we got to see them swimming.

Three cute boys!

Isaac isn't looking, but four out of five isn't too bad for a stranger taking our picture.

After the beach, we drove by to see the USS Midway on our way to the airport. The boys liked seeing how big the ship was and the airplanes on the deck.

'We had a great birthday trip to San Diego.  I hope we do this instead of parties every few years or so because we had so much fun.
