Thanksgiving trip!

We went to Utah for Thanksgiving like usual.

It was a really snowy year, so the kids had so much fun playing in the snow with their cousins.

They always have fun inside too.

Maya really loved the dog bed.

She decided she liked the snow too.  She really loved sledding.

All the kids LOVED sledding.

This is Maya's pickle face!

Jaren was big enough to help this year!  Here she is taking in the best dessert of the year, churros.

Here are the girls eating chocolate while we were frying!

Some of the kids were outside playing in the snow while the grown ups were cooking too.

Maya loved playing with baby Rowan.

Here she is so cute during her nap.

The annual grandparent and grandchild photo! We are up to 12 kids!

Karen took the big kids out to buy pajamas to donate to the women's shelter.

Zev isn't in many pictures because he spent most of his time doing electronics with Noah.

Tahl and Buby Mary are sweet friends.

We took a very perilous drive from Park City to Hurricane due to some unexpected weather.  It was really scary.

The next morning we decided it was too cold for two days at Zion.  Luckily there were lots of fun things to do in near by St. George.

The kids had lots of fun at the children's museum.

Isaac's tush is out in half of the pictures.

Maya loved being a suitcase in the airport.

We loved the dinosaur area too.

After the children's museum we went out to lunch and then to weird taxidermy museum.

The bugs were very cool.

Maya took a nice car nap while we looked around here.

After that we went to a dinosaur track discovery sight.

The boys enjoyed completing a scavenger hunt.

The next morning we went to Zion National Park. We were greeted by seem deer right aways in the parking lot.

Our first stop was incredibly icy.  It was supposed to be a two hour hike and we made it ten minutes before turning around.  It was solid ice.

We did get a family shot though.

Ari took the boys on another hike while Maya and I stayed inside at the Zion hotel.

They said it was still icy, but it was pretty cool.

After lunch we found a less icy area to walk on.

We got maybe 15 feet from some deer.

We got some good shots on the bridges too.

Miss Maya got a good nap.

Even with the snow, it was very beautiful.

The mountain in the center is called Isaac Peak.

We went on a drive up higher into the mountains in the park. There was a really cool mile long tunnel through the mountains that was completed in 1930.

We even got out for a few pictures.

I took this one after all the boys had just used a snowy porta potty up in the mountains.  Kids are crazy.
It was colder than we thought it would be, but overall it was a good trip!

I took this shot on our drive back to the airport Monday.  We didn't get to appreciate the scenery much on the way down because of the snow and fog, but it was beautiful to see it on the way back.
