April stuff

Here are some random pictures from my phone this month.

Maya loves to go next door to play in Gabe's back yard.

She also loves to take her trucks on a walk.

Ari built me a bike rack!

Now I can finally park in the garage.

Isaac gave a presentation on gibbons in his first grade classroom.

He also took a bubble tub that he thought needed photographic evidence.

Maya finished up her soccer class.  Here she is getting her medal.

It was so tiring that she had to pretend to nap for the rest of the class with her friends.

She does not believe in social distancing.

Maya does love a good selfie though.

Here she is building a block tower.

And last, but not least, at the dentist.  She is so big, she doesn't even need me.

We have had a fun and low key month.  We are looking forward to May with three birthdays, a trip for Ari and I, and the last few weeks of school.

Busy weekend

We started our weekend off with a rainy Friday afternoon puddle walk.

There was some serious jumping happening.

Yes!

Maya was talking about Peppa Pig and muddy puddles the whole time.

On Saturday we all went hiking, and then Ari and the boys stayed to camp.

We got to see lots of caterpillars.

And a lizard...

Here is Z finding another caterpillar.

This boy loves to pose for pictures.

Even with me.

It was a great place to hike with actual elevation changes.

It also happened to be very close to where my grandmother and grandfather are buried.  This was Maya's first time to visit. She found it very confusing that they didn't want to talk to her.

Ari and the boys had a great time playing football, fishing, and cooking over the fire. Maya and I went home to watch a movie and paint our toe nails.

Tahl's birthday

The day before Tahl's birthday he and I went to Six Flags for the day.  Each boy is getting a season pass and a one on one date to Six Flags for their birthday.  Tahl is our biggest coaster lover, so he had a great time.

The morning of this birthday I got up bright and EARLY to cook the pancake, banana, chocolate chip casserole that Ari had made the night before.

After that Tahl opened his presents.  Besides the season pass from us he got a game from Pops and Gram, a magazine subscription and some new books from his Mimi, a Disney Life game from Buby and Buster, and a stuffed animal from Raya and the Last Dragon from the Richardson family.

He went to school, and I brought him lunch there. Then after school he got to have a play date at the park with the Liles Family.  When we got home, he was nice and sweaty, but he still took some birthday pictures for me.

For dinner we got Chinese food, and Tahl has his dream of a dumpling feast.  There were three different types of dumplings, some soup, and veggies. Then it was time for a cookie cake!

Overall Tahl had a great birthday.  I can't believe he is TEN.

Isaac's busy month

Isaac has had a very busy month.  He has been busy playing soccer again.

He had a really fun outdoor birthday party. He loved getting wrapped in toilet paper.

Here he is back at soccer, but a little more relaxed.

Isaac had a full day of testing for IQ and ADHD this week.  He and I got to go out for a lunch date during the middle.  We had lots of fun.

The next day we got up early because Isaac had to have an endoscopy.  He was very, very nervous.

Here he is after he came out.  He was very grumpy when he woke up. They gave him some juice and a popsicle which helped some.

They had him out the door and back in our car in an hour after the procedure.

He enjoyed the rest of his day on the couch.

Here he is the next day back at school.  He turned in all his fuzzy balls that he's been saving up to read a book out loud to his class.  He teacher said he did a wonderful job.

He has turned into a fantastic reader.
