World's Cutest Girl

With all the boys at school, and most of the boxes unpacked, Maya and I have been able to go out and have more fun.

Maya loves to go to park more than almost anything.

She is getting much braver and trying new things too.

We went back to the arboretum again with friends.

Pigtails and pumpkins might be the cutest thing ever.

She had lots of fun running around and being silly.

Here is a video of Maya pretending to snore.  She is getting so big and fun to play with.

Here are some videos of the cutest girl singing.  She sometime stops when she realizes I'm recording her because she wants to see the video.

Best Zoo Day Ever!

Our zoo has THREE new baby lions. We had to go and see them.  We got a really good spot to see them, and boy are they the cutest.

Our baby hippo was also out of the water actually playing with her mom.

She was licking her and giving her kisses.

Our resident animal expert was over the moon excited.

He also had fun riding a hippo with his little sister.

And being "King of the Hippos" of course.

Maya spent most of the trip to the zoo asking if it was time for the carousel yet.  She was so happy to finally be riding a horse.

We also got to see the new sloth for the first time and the reptile house was open for the first time since March. We had a great morning while Ari and Zev chose to stay home and build an awesome closet. The new house projects are never ending.

While we were moving out, we had very few toys, so we had LOTS of bubble baths. Maya got a very nice hat.

Ari found some fun collages up in the attic.

We got a bike trailer for Maya.  It is hard work, but we are having fun with it.

Maya did some important box packing for us.

Here is Zev on our last morning in the house which happened to be walk to school day. He is definitely the most sad about moving.

Maya started swim lessons. The first day was really smooth, the second day had lots of crying,  and by the third day, she was doing better again.

Here is our picture on the last afternoon before we moved.  I still can't really believe that we did it.  We had been in that house since May of 2009 just one week before Zev was born. It was the longest that Ari or I had ever lived in one house.

And in much less exciting news, Tahl got some new face masks. He will be celebrating Halloween all year  long just like he likes.

Arboretum fun

We went to the arboretum for my favorite yearly trip to see the pumpkins. We walked right in and got a not so bad picture of my favorite four little people.

Look how big this kid is getting.  I still can't believe every single day that I have a sixth grader.

And as much as I can't believe how old Zev is, Tahl is actually a tiny big taller than him. He just keeps growing.

This was my picture of all four kids together.

Isaac does his own hair now and picks out all the most awesome outfits all on his own every day.  He is definitely our most independent kid.

And he is really stinkin' cute.

These two can fight big time, but they are really best of friends over all.

Maya wasn't so sure she wanted a picture in the pumpkins.

But she tried.

All she really wanted was to run and explore.

I did end up with this cute shot though, so I'm calling it a win.

Zev truly loves to have his picture taken too. I think it was all the years when I used to bribe him with marshmallows.

I made everyone get in the car at 7:30 to get to the arboretum before it was crowded, so we got pictures with LITERALLY no one in the background. That never happens.

Here is Maya stopping to check out a bug.

I tried again to get another cute group shot, but I wasn't as successful as before.

We also spent time not taking pictures and and just hanging out. We got to play on the paths, and the kids even got to take their shoes off to play in the water.
