ZEVI!!!!

Zev had his school award assembly on Thursday morning. I was expecting him to get the reading or math award as those are two things he is very interested in and good at. Instead he got the citizenship award. I was so proud of how far he has come at school this year, I almost cried.

His teacher told him later in their room that he got the award for always being a good help and having a kind heart. She told me a story about when she had to go and take care of her mother.  She said all of the other kids were saying how happy they were that she was back.  Zev told her that he was happy she had gotten to spend time with her mom and help her.

He was so proud of himself.  He has told MANY people about winning the award since he got it.

He he is holding up the award with his Mimi.

He wanted a picture with his teachers. He also wouldn't leave until he had hugged all of his friends good-bye.

Zev insisted on a family picture as well.  Isaac and Tahl were not exactly cooperating.

Here he is relaxing after his big win.

The boys got a big box of "new to us" clothes from their cousin Noah.  We got quite a few things that Zev's Buby, Karen, must have bought in multiple sizes.

Here is Zev in the same shirt as a baby.

This made me happy.
Thanks Tova for the clothes!

I also posted this one, because I think Isaac is looking more like baby Zev lately.

We were so happy to celebrate our good citizen!  We love you Zevi!

Tahl's first week of summer

Tahl came in to see me the other day and told me he was a princess knight.

He is too cute.

Here he was eating blue berries.  Before he ate each berry, he would tell it, "You are so cute and tiny little berry.  I'm sorry I have to eat you, but my mom says you will rot if I save you."  He is a funny guy.

This is what he wore to Zev's therapy that afternoon.  He was the Queen unicorn.

We went to a bounce house place with friends.  Isaac was finally big enough to play. He liked the cars.

He also loved the baby jumping thing.

Tahl jumped until he was too tired.  Then he kept serving me tea with magic food that would make me dance and breathe fire.

Here is Isaac after licking a lime Popsicle.  I LOVE this face.

He kept trying to lick it again.

He had fun in the water, but if he doesn't learn to walk soon, he will be all scraped up.

piggie Isaac

Tahl found some old doll clothes that belonged to my dolls years ago.  He was very excited for baby Elsie to have some new clothes.

We also finally got to get out in our cold pool.  Love these cute boys!

aquarium

Tahl, Isaac, and I went to the aquarium to see the animals and the Octonauts that were in town visiting.

T liked the jellyfish.

He liked getting up inside the displays.

He had fun pretending to ride in the Gup-A with his friends.

Here he is meeting Peso.

Peso was a lot bigger than we imagined he would be.

He had to ride again with the Peso we brought from home.

It was a fun day!

Zev's birthday weekend

On Friday afternoon we went to Build-a-Bear in the mall.  Tahl was so excited to get a new outfit for Nala.

She looks pretty fancy in her new outfit.

Zev made a bear and got an outfit.  Meet his new friend "Darth Vader Fluffy Bear."
I hope to never pay $50 for a bear again, but he has at least slept with him every night since he came home.

Oren came in town to visit us. I some how got NO pictures of him?? I did, however, get this picture of Tahl playing with the present Oren brought him.

And on continues the rein of the unicorn in our house...

Zevi got a one man bubble bath, which was on his birthday list.

The big guys went with Ari and Oren to play at Kid Mania.

We all went out to lunch at Jimmy's for sandwiches after, and poor Isaac was very tired.

We had a big dinner out that night thanks to Buby and Buster. Again, I somehow failed at getting a picture of everyone, but Zev really liked Texas de Brazil. He loves meat and cheese, so he really couldn't go wrong there.

We set up his birthday door after Oren left at 4 in the morning...

Here is a little video of the balloons falling in. Please ignore my singing.

Zev had a good time with the balloons.

Then he got to take another birthday bath and open his presents.

He was so excited to get Mip, the robot that he has been talking about for a long time.

He also got another snap circuits set from his Buby and Buster.

He got books from his brothers.

Boy does this kid love to read.

Especially Shel Silverstein poems.

Ari made his this great birthday morning breakfast.

Posing with Mip.

He actually spent most of his birthday at school.   That might be one of the worst things about having a big kid!  When he got home, he got to play with his new toys and some old ones.  You can see the two birthday ribbons he was so proud of on his shirt.

Here he is trying out snap circuits.
(With a princess photo bomber...)

He wanted cookies for his birthday, but he had to still blow out a candle or two of course.

We love you Zev, and can't wait for you to grow another year older!
