The rest of August...

It's very hard to get Maya to smile for the camera lately.  Selfie mode always works though. 

Maya is not the best at listening to her dog's heartbeat yet. 

She is really good at stealing snacks though. 

And eating noodles... Yum. 

I love it when the kids teachers post pictures of them at school.  Here is Isaac with a friend at recess. 

The first week of kindergarten, Isaac came home and was very grumpy.  I sent him to his room to calm down. When he came out, he was wearing Christmas pajamas.  He had made a plan for a whole afternoon of Christmas activities. 

Here they are all wearing Christmas pjs and having a dance party. 

Of course, a Christmas movie with hot cocoa was on the list. 

The next morning, I notice my phone was missing.  I asked if anyone had used it, but they all said no.  I found evidence to the contrary. 

Maya decided to wear my shorts this day. 

Here we are the first weekend after school started at the splash park. 

We've had to start locking the pantry. 

I went with some friends to a Harry Potter pop up bar. 

First Day of school!

Our three boys started back at school today! Isaac is in kindergarten, Tahl is in third, and Zev is in fifth grade. In case you are keeping track, that means all three boys are at the same school for the next two years!

Here is Tahl with his new teacher, Mrs. Carter, at meet the teacher. He is so excited because this is the teacher that both he and I were hoping for!

Here is Zev with his new first day of school books. He was so excited to read them that he kept forgetting to eat breakfast.

If you can't read this, he is planning to be an inventor when he grows up!

Tahl got a book that he has been begging me for, and he was too busy reading to eat too...

This future animal conservationist loves pink, reading, being with his family, and Disney villains.

This was our best effort at a before school picture.  We didn't get there early enough for one without a crowd.

Here is Tahl with his teacher again. He has already been going on and on about how this will be the best year ever. He will be switching classes this year for the first time, and his reading teacher has two guinea pigs so he is over the moon about that.

Maya rushed in when we got home and started playing.  She may not know what to do without some company after the summer.  I bet she will adjust quickly though.

KINDERGARTEN?? Say it isn't so...

I cannot believe that my littlest guy is in kindergarten already! 

Here he is in his pre-kinder photo shoot with a local photographer. 

He wanted to show her all his ninja moves that he will use for kindergarten.

 

He was so ready to start. He got a great teacher, Mrs. Scoville, and I know he will have a wonderful year.

He has hardly seemed nervous at all, and he couldn't wait to get started this morning.

He practically kicked Tahl and I out of the classroom.

I can't wait to hear about his day at pickup!

Isaac and I have had so much amazing one on one time, and I am definitely going to miss him.  I was crying between kinder drop off and third grade.  Poor Tahl had to stop and give me a hug.

We know that Isaac is going to love being at the big kid school with his brothers!
