State Fair

The boys and I spent a fun afternoon at the fair. We always have to start off with some corn dogs.

Tahl and Isaac rode the scary haunted house ride together this year.

That Tahl is one sweet brother.

Zev rode my old favorite, the Kamikaze.

Zev was chosen to be in the bird show which made some other kids I know very jealous.

This is as close as the other boys got to a bird, but at least it was a Harpy Eagle so that made them very happy.

We went to a puppet show where they were in a Conga line.

No fair day is ever complete without some Big Tex pictures.

Tahl has been jealous for a year that Zev got to be in the pig race and the magic show last year.  I was determined to get him in the pig race, and after asking four people, I was successful!

Look at that red team cheerleader!

After the pig races, we went to the petting zoo.

Where we really loved the goats.

Especially the babies.

Zev rode this one next.

Then Isaac and Tahl went in this fun house and came out covered in bubbles!

Zev moved on to this crazy thing.

And Isaac rode this little roller coaster all alone!

After that we went to drive some cars.

And our last big plan for the day was the magic show. I told Tahl not to get his hopes up that he would be in it, but lighting struck twice (and we sat in the same place as last year!)

Here is Tahl about to be cut in half.

WHERE DID HE GO???

He was so happy.

So we celebrated with a funnel cake before we hit the road.
We had so much fun, and we already can't wait to go to the fair next year.

Rest of September

Maya started mommy and me class at the JCC at the end of September.  I know this isn't her cutest picture, but she was really unsure about that shaving cream.

She really loved the sensory bucket though.

I'm not sure who she was giving this side eye to, but it may have been me.

The next day was early release for the boys so we went to Kid Mania to play.

Maya loves to play with her brothers.

I didn't want to loose another bow, so she was rocking a ponytail.

On Friday Maya had a play date a Kids Play Co. with some little friends.

She was really excited to drive this little car that wasn't nine years old and still had a door and a horn.

She likes to play in the kitchen and feed her baby too.

Or just bonk the baby on the head with an orange. That counts as feeding it right?

She forced another mom to read her current favorite book, "The Hungry Caterpillar" after I refused because I had already read it several times.

Maya would really like to be a big kid who watches TV now.

But she would also really like to still eat some dirt...

And get pushed on her bike by her mom.

Tahl had a little accident with a smoothie, which is a perfect time to pretend to be a crazy murderer.

He also got to go on a field trip to the environmental center.

Here he is at a table at school with lots of good friends.  He got really lucky on his class this year.

Here are Maya and Zev having some snuggles and kisses time.

Isaac is still liking soccer much more this year!

Temple, not as much. He did love singing about and listening to the shofar though.  The shofar is definitely everyone's favorite thing about Rosh Hashanah.

Maya liked nothing about temple.

She did really love this red bean popsicle though.

Ari and Zev went to Sky Ranch with the whole fifth grade for three days.

Zev didn't sleep well, but he had a great time riding horses, learning, and playing.

Ari is the best dad ever.
