Last weekend of December fun

Between school, basketball, and Isaac's flu, we did not get out December wish list done.  It honestly wasn't that long, but there are only so many days in a month.  We are taking advantage of the week after Christmas to get more celebrating in!  First we went to the Dallas arboretum.

They have a fun new Christmas village we enjoyed.

Maya really wanted to eat this kohlrabi.  She was sure it was an apple, and I was really mean for not giving it to her.

She had the most fun in the little kids play area.

She loved playing peek a boo in this egg.

How cute is she??

Here she is!

The boys wanted to all get in on the peek a boo fun.

This picture of Maya wearing her wrapping paper as a hat is sadly the only picture I have taken of Hanukkah so far.  I think it is because I always make the boys put on pj's before we light the candles so they come out half naked.

One the next night of Hanukkah I got this picture of Maya opening one of her new costumes.

We went to see the Dallas Zoo lights on the weekend after Christmas. We LOVED visiting the baby hippo! Here he is playing with him mom.

We tried to get a few good shots together, but these were our best.

We have some extremely silly children.

They calmed down a little to pet this turtle.

Maya finally enjoyed a turn on the carousel this time. She wasn't afraid at all.

Zev loved getting one of his favorite sets of books over two nights of Hanukkah.

Isaac really loved this Ninjago Lego motorcycle set.

Here is Maya trying to open the fridge.  I'm not sure why she thinks we need to use our feet.  Silly girl.

Here she is hugging her Ta Ta.

I found her sitting like this on the table one afternoon.

And a random picture I found of her double fisting her apples.  We've had to move the apples off the kitchen table up to the counter.

I tried to get some good pictures on New Years Eve.  We had an early countdown with sparkling apple juice.  Then we threw poppers and lit sparklers outside.

I got some questionable sparkling apple juice selfies.

I did get a few shots of the boys with sparklers.

The Holidays

I got the first gift of the holiday!  Ari got me this lovely new rose gold lap top that I am currently using to blog!

Tahl was the only person who took a picture with Mimi's Photo Booth at her Christmas party.  I completely forgot to get a picture of the kids in their matching pjs with my mom dressed up as Cindy Lou Who.

The kids got lots of presents in Tyler where I didn't take a single picture and at Mimi's party where I only remembered the picture above.  I am the worst.  I did at least get some pictures Christmas morning of the stockings and Nintendo Switch that Santa brought.

The boys were so excited.

Tahl especially loved his Jafar staff.  He now has a collection of three different magical staffs.

Isaac's favorite gift was probably the microphone his Mimi got him.

He has been rocking out all week.

Maya likes her little house for animals from Santa.

She also loves the doll bunk bed that was mine as a little girl.  I found it up in the attic and brought it down for her.

She loves to take care of her babies.

And also have some milk for herself.

Isaac wanted a picture with Maya and the new hat that was in his stocking.

Pops and Gram gave Maya a new doll stroller which is perfect for walking lots of dolls at the same time.

Here is Zev trying to watch a youtube video to teach him how to ride his new skateboard from his Mimi. It is not going very well so far.

Ari, the best dad ever, made some green pancakes.

He ended up with trees with a banana star and chocolate chip ornaments.

Here is T showing off his Disney villain staff collection.

We had a lovely afternoon bubble bath.

Followed up by days of trying the new Nintendo.

We spent the two days after Christmas trying out new board games during Maya's nap. We really like this new national park game from Mimi.

After two days inside, we needed to get out for some time at the park.

This is how you ride the baby swing when it is the only one left.

Here is Maya being too cute on her way out.  She needed her purse and a bear.
