The end of March...

This girl really loves cottage cheese.  She does not understand why I try to give her a spoon though.

We went to the park one nice afternoon with friends, and I got some great pictures on the swings.

Here I am swinging with one of Tahl's friends.

And another...

Tahl and his friends also like to swing Maya.

This picture cracks me up as an example of the drama that is living with Tahl.  It says, "No visiting. I'm going to be evil defying gravity and nobody will bring me down and nobody in all of here can bring me down."  Tahl posted this on his bedroom door before running away from home to the backyard shed.  (Bonus points if you understand his "Wicked" reference...)

Here is Maya petting Emily's dog.  She seems to really like dogs.

Here she is looking cute in an outfit from my mom.

We have lots of pictures of Isaac playing t-ball.

He's doing much better this year (when he isn't licking the fence...)

Here are more pictures of Maya "using" a spoon to eat cottage cheese.

She is the cutest even if she needs a bath everyday now.

This week...

I love when I catch sweet Maya snuggling a friend.

She loves when she finds a cup under the table.

Zev loves to chop! Here he is helping me with an onion.

Happy birthday to our Mimi!  We love you!

Isaac wore this costume he made up for Purim.

He is a female super hero named "Asteroid."

Her powers include invisibility, super speed, shooting ninja stars from her stomach, spikes out of her legs, and shooting repulser rays.

He became Asteroid when he "had the ruby of enchancive" and you can too if you "dare to come out at midnight."

This kids has a big imagination.

We went to the park after school

Isaac was still in Purim mode at the grocery store on Friday.

Isaac started back at t-ball over the weekend.

He couldn't find his actual hat, so he insisted on wearing this "super cuddle monster" hat that his dad has.

This week we had some very sad news as well.  On Monday, my mothers mom, Patricia Lacy passed away. She lived a long life, but it was still a surprise as she had a great day the day before. There will be a family memorial on what would have been her 85th birthday in April.

She was a woman who was smart and independent.  I still vividly remember going home with her every day after half day kindergarten to play and watch Shirley Temple movies.
We love you Nana.

On Wednesday our family had more bad news.  Tahl's second grade teacher who had just had her baby last week during spring break passed away from complications with cancer. She was a wonderful person who was giving, kind, and worked hard with all the kids in her class. I am so sad for her husband, new baby, and the rest of her family who thought she had beaten cancer. I am also sad for all the second graders who are learning how to process this.
We will miss your Mrs. Bourgeois.

The rest of Spring Break

We started off spring break with a warm weather day.  Maya had some fun splashing in the water table.

On Sunday we went to the Fort Worth Zoo.

Maya has a good ride.

Everyone was brave and touched the snake.

We went to their nature exchange and they gave us free points just for coming in during spring break!

Zev got a shell, Isaac got a deer jaw, and Tahl got this awesome tooth.

We are still not sure what animal it is from though.

Maya had fun pretending to drive after lunch.

The kids love their white tiger.

Here is Tahl with one of his all time favorites, the hyenas.

These kids are goofy.

Maya liked the chimps.

On Monday Zev got a haircut.

Tuesday we went to a  trampoline park with friends.  Maya thinks she should definitely be in the blocks.  She kept crawling over the edge to fall in.

Wednesday we went to Dough Dough a little shop that sells cookie dough!

Maya was pretty happy with the amount she was able to steal out of peoples bowls without even having her own.

On Thursday we went to the arboretum for the tulips, but I had to give the it's own post.

Here are some pictures of Maya eating dinner later that night.  She starts of sweet like this.

Then she makes this face at some point during each bite.

I finally got a picture by taking a burst.

... and then its back to sweet, and if you don't catch it quick, then you just missed it!

On Saturday we went to the Perot.  It was insanely busy.

Maya thought she would like the tunnels.

She actually got super nervous.  She does not like crawling on new textures.

This is a headed brother montster that was trying to convince her she wanted to crawl over.

On our last day, Sunday morning, we to the park with the Richardsons to play and have donuts.  The only pictures I got though were of Maya riding this horse with her dad.  Whoops.

We had a really fun spring break at home filled with activities.  It made me really look forward to summer!
