First days of school!

We had three different first days this year. Zev went first on Monday with a three day visit to a private school (which didn't end up working out.)

While he was at his first day, Maya was getting a big kid haircut!

Tahl and Isaac had meet the teacher on Monday too.

They couldn't wait to get their new books for the first day of school, so I let them have them early.

They both got right to reading.

The next morning Isaac was up and ready for school before I even got out of bed.  I had to wake Tahl up, and he was still getting ready as he walked out the door...

We got to school early enough for a picture on the way in and some shots with their teachers.

Isaac got Mrs. Garcia for second grade which is super fun because she lives across the street from us.

Tahl got Mrs. Morris, but he will switch classes three times throughout the day.

Finally after a week, it was Maya's turn! She is so excited to finally be "big enough" for school.

Maya is in the 3's at the JCC in the same classroom both Zev and Tahl had.  She also has the same teacher that she had for Mommy and me.  She is very lucky!

She was ready for me to go before we even got in the school.  She also told me goodbye at the fish tank, by her cubbies, and in the bathroom.  This girl is independent and ready to go! She said she had a great first day.

Random August pictures...

My mom met me at the boys horse back riding lessons so we got lots more fun pictures of them riding bare back (forwards, sideways, backwards, and even on all fours!)

Here is a picture of just a tiny portion of Ari's cucumber crop! One of two of them got too ripe while we are out of town, but they just keep coming! We've had to give lots away.

Maya LOVES cucumbers though, so she has been working hard to help eat them all.

She helped pick some tomatoes too.

Last weekend, I took all three crazy boys for a VERY HOT day at Six Flags.

The week before I got to take Tahl and Isaac to see Wicked at the Dallas Summer Musicals.  Isaac liked it, but Tahl LOVED it, of course.

Maya continues to enjoy gymnastics.

We had a lot of fun adventures over the summer, but I am looking forward to getting back into a school routine!

summer trip, Part 1 (Mississippi and Atlanta)

We took the kids on a trip to Atlanta and Gulf Shores, Alabama.  We stopped the first night in Jackson, Mississippi, and we spent the first mornin
g at the Mississippi Children's Museum.

The kids had lots of fun.

On our first full day in Atlanta, I took the kids to the zoo.

That evening they got to eat dinner and play with their cousins.

Maya really loved Noah.  She hadn't seen him in a year and a half because of covid and summer camp.

The next morning, I took the kids to the aquarium.  It was so amazing.

Then the kids and I went to look at the King Center and visit the tomb of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and Coretta Scott King.  Zev was so excited.

Then the kids have more fun that afternoon playing with their cousins in their amazing backyard.

Thank you so much to Brad and Tova for letting us take over their lives with very little notice.  We had so much fun.
