School (sort of) starts

Our school district is starting back virtually, so the boys and I got a quick picture when we went to pick up their supplies.

This is what they actually looked like on the first day of school.

Maya took her time relaxing and drinking coffee in her stroller while her brothers learned.

We are working on learning not to eat sand in Maya's homeschool class.

We also got some sad news this week that Ari's grandfather, George, passed away.  He survived Covid, but he didn't make it home. He is will so missed because he was such a kind and happy person.

Here he is playing baseball with Zev when he was in his 80s. He was such an involved grandfather and great grandfather.

We were all so lucky he lived to 94, but I know everyone would have liked even more years.
We are sending all our love to Grandma Dee.

Last week of summer

We decided to try to do some fun things and finish our summer list for the last week of summer.  We were unsuccessful on finishing the list, but we had fun trying.

This is just a picture of my library book stack. It is getting out of hand.

Messy face girl

She loves to snuggle in bed with her Ta Ta.

We had another fun Pirate themed movie night!  We made a treasure map pizza.

We also had a squid with seaweed dip and cannon balls.

Then we watched Pirates of the Caribbean.

We had an afternoon of water balloons and sponge fights.

We took a trip to another creek a friend told us about in Dallas.

It made someone very tired.

Then on Friday Isaac got three teeth pulled!  He ended up with this special smile.

And THREE dollars.  He is sure he is rich now.

On the last day of summer we watched another movie from the movie jar.  We didn't finish watching them all, but we will keep working on it each weekend.
