Memorial Day weekend!

Ari fixed up Zev's hair some more

We bought a state parks pass before our trip next weekend.  We are going to try to use it this summer to explore more parks around us. We drove out to Cedar Hill State Park on Saturday.  Sadly, due to rain the trails were closed, but we got to explore the historic farm and play in the water.

The boys were so excited to find these cool snails.

We also found this vulture guarding its nest.

Isaac wore his face mask in a traditional way.

Then we found the water to play in. That's really all we need.

I decided to invest in some new water shoes with our new parks pass, and they sure came in handy.

This guy, as usual, found the mud.

Maya loved splashing with Ari.

She was asleep before we were even out of the state park.

Ari got just a LITTLE bit of mulch delivered for free.

Maya got her toes painted purple.

Don't let her face fool you, she was excited.

On Monday, we started doing our summer daily lists, went for a puddle walk, and made play doh.

We got a few epic splashes in.

This girl ran away and her helpfulest brother chased her down.

Some people got in trouble for climbing on Ari's mulch.

After we came in, we took some baths and showers, ate lunch, and watched Who Framed Roger Rabbit. It was way more inappropriate than I remembered.  After it was over, Tahl was playing with Maya doing play doh. We were sad that so much of it was dried out, so we decided to make more ourselves.  Tahl and I had fun making different colors and smells.  Then Maya and everyone had fun playing with it.
