Jolene and Crunchy Get Hitched!

At therapy on Thursday, Tahl got a stretchy lizard. He decided that his puppet chameleon Crunchy should be his dad, but then he was sure that Crunchy needed a wife.  He thought out five choices and told them to his puppet. He told me that Crunchy picked Jolene the pig, and we just had to have a wedding. We set the date for the next day.

Friday afternoon we got a dress on Jolene, picked her flowers from the back yard, and put one of Ari's bow ties on Crunchy.

All of the guests came to watch.

Tahl wanted us each to take turns taking pictures with them.

He and Zev picked out this dress for me because it was "perfect for wedding."

(Please ignore my pool hair.)

He insisted that Jolene had to have a veil for Crunchy to lift to be sure it was her.  He remembered that Torah story well.

Zev took Crunchy up to the front. It was his idea for he and the chameleon to wear yarmulkes.

Tahl walked Jolene down the aisle.

Zev insisted the knew the words to marry someone, and he did not need my help.

They kissed, and then it was time for a party.

I taught the boys about the hora which they really enjoyed.

We had a toast.

Then everyone had some cake, of course.

Then for some reason, before we could do more dancing, Zev had to do some magic for us to move the chairs and light the lanterns.

I love this face.

The party ended with some serious break dancing by Tahl's stuffed animals and Tahl himself.

Tahl loved having a wedding so much that he is ready to do it again.
