Isaac is 2!

I cannot believe that my baby is two.  I am sure I will say this every year, but he needs to stop growing.  The birthday paparazzi followed him around all day because, why not? Tahl really wanted us to decorate Isaac's door like the do with the big boys, but I couldn't do it, and then still go in to get him out of his crib.

We came up with a plan that Ari and Tahl would go in to distract him while Zev and I decorated.

He was not so sure about it.

He crawled under.

Then he decided he should break it down so that Tahl and Ari could come out.

(Zev wanted to video it.)

Our two year old birthday boy!

He wanted pancakes for his birthday breakfast, so Tahl entertained him with bubbles outside while he waited.

Ari, our pancake master, made him a two!

Both of the big boys wanted to sit right by Isaac.

Here was a pirate ship that Ari made for the guys.

We all got our swim suits on and went to Zev and Isaac's pirate pool party.

We had bagels and coffee for the adults.

The pirate cupcakes were yummy.

The kids all loved the gift bags with pirate costume stuff inside.

Here are the boys blowing out their candles.  I really didn't get many pictures because I was too busy swimming and going down the water slide.

Tahl and Zev both went down the water slide around 15 times.  It was well worth renting the bigger cooler pool.

Zev also got two cupcakes to celebrate his birthday party.

Isaac had been asking for a juice box as one of his birthday presents all week.  He was so excited to finally get one.

We asked for only donations for a no kill animal shelter in the area, but Zev was excited that two people forgot.

He got a nerf gun and a water gun, so he was happy.

Here are the boys trying out the pirate things from the extra goody bags.

Isaac looks good with a mustache right?

All the boys got snuggly when it rained that afternoon to watch a movie.  Isaac didn't make it the whole time, but he did feel very big for a while there.

He was happy when Mimi came over for him to open a few presents.

He tried really hard, but he couldn't get the tape on this open.

Zev offered to help him.

He really loved both of these books when he read them later at bed time.

He was also way more excited about sippy cups than I thought he would be.  He kept yelling, "MILK! MILK!" This guy really does love a good glass of milk.

He was most excited to get these rain boots though.

He was yelling "ribbit" and practicing stomping in puddles.

He also got a wheel barrow from Pops and Gram and an electric toothbrush from Buby and Buster before his party.  I was too crazy getting ready though to remember to take a picture.

We decided to go on a quick puddle walk in the rain to let him really test out his new boots.

How cute are the guys in these rain coats that Karen bought them while we were in Europe?

As you can see, he would not leave his new milk cup at home.

I couldn't believe I got a cute picture with all three boys (mostly) looking!

For Isaac's birthday dinner he selected from the choices his brothers game him.  He picked Super Chix because Tahl swayed him with the idea of ice cream.  Zev did some good reading before our food came.

Isaac did some excellent coloring.

He really enjoyed that birthday dinner, especially the ice cream.

We needed a little birthday night rocking because he is still my baby.  Then we decided we needed a picture.

I love, love, love this little boy. Here he is all set up to go to sleep.  He needed to use a pirate handkerchief from his party as a schmata too.
Isaac is smart, sweet, funny, and loving.  He is a great brother, and he wants to be part of the big boys more than anything. He loves eating, being outside, playing anything active, his schmata's, Tommy the Turtle, pretending, and reading books with me in his chair. We are so blessed to have him in our lives, and we can't wait to see how he grows and changes this year.

(Unless of course, my prayers for him to freeze this size forever come true...)

We love you Isaac!
