The birthday begins...

Ari is going to be out of town for Tahl's birthday, so we started to celebrate it a little bit early.

Tahl asked to go to Super Chix for his early birthday dinner.

He and Isaac both very much enjoyed their ice cream.

On Saturday Ari made him this five pancake.  The bacon is supposed to be a candle.

Zev and Ari left for an over night camp out (pictures to come later,) and this is the note that Zev left.  Apparently he will only be missing Dixie.

While Ari and Zev were away on their camp out, Isaac, Tahl and I went to run errands and on a special surprise. Isaac looked pretty cute in this star headband at the check out line.

Tahl wanted to try it on too.

Next Tahl got to go on his fun brithday surprise!  Pops and Gram got him a gift card to Build a Bear!

Here he is rubbing the heart before he put it inside of what he chose.

I thought he would take forever to deliberate, but he actually chose this two headed dragon pretty quickly.

He told me it was like he got two stuffed animals for the price of one.  Another little boy taking after his daddy.

He has been having so much fun pretending with them.  The one on the left with the open mouth is named "Blue."  (Yes, Tahl realizes he is not blue, but he says that is just his name. ) Apparently, he is a rude dragon.  The one on the right is named "Squishy," and he is the nicer brother.

I promised T that I would sleep in his room that night for a sleep over since Zev was having a camping sleep over with Ari.  This is what I found when I went in there to go to bed.  It was not a very good night of sleep.

In the morning, we went to the zoo with Mimi. Tahl and Isaac were eating the Gorilla's boogers here.

Tahl loves to pose with the statues.

We got lucky, and an older chimp came right up to the glass.

Isaac saw him and took a few steps back.

We tried to get a selfie with him, but it didn't really work out.

Isaac and a chimp tush

Tahl was being a baby chimp here.

On the way back down to our stroller Isaac really dug deep for some "rilla" boogers.

Boys are gross.

I got to spin Tahl in the nest!

Who doesn't love a good Tahli face!?!

On our next ride, Tahl went on an animal. Isaac spent the whole time saying "up, down, up, down..."

Tahl rode the elephant and I rode the triceratops, so Tahl and I could have a race.

We tied.
Mostly, Tahl was worried because dinosaurs are extinct, and there shouldn't be one on the zoo carousel.
We can't wait to celebrate more with this guy for the rest of the week!
