Go, Dog, Go!

Zev and I went on a date last Saturday to see Go, Dog, Go at the Dallas Children's Theatre.  Before the show started, they had activities in the lobby.  Here he is getting his hand painted.  I think Oren has given him too good of an idea of what face paintings should be like.  He told the nice woman who gave him a paw print that it was "good enough." I tried to explain to him that not everyone can paint like Oren and to be considerate.  (Considerate is the word of the week over here...)

He folded an origami dog and colored a face onto it.

He got to drive a car like the ones they use in the play.

He wanted to hold up his "dog mask" so he would look more like a dog from the show.

He got to try out the green car too.

We went in a little early to get good seats. Zev was excited to sit in the second row.

We took a quick picture together to send to dad.

These are our "dog faces"...

Zev wanted me to take a picture of the stage before the show started because he thought it looked really nice.

During the intermission Zev got his picture as the dog on the book cover.

And when the show was over, he got to meet the characters from the show and get their autographs.  This was one of his favorite dogs because he was green and rode a unicycle. Here he is explaining that to the actor.

He also liked yellow because that is his second favorite color.  I think he may have told this dog that Purim is coming up.  (He is less worried about talking to strangers now, but he still hasn't quite figured out what strangers do and do not want to hear about...)

In this picture Zev got photo bombed.  It threw him off a little, but he thought it was funny.  He liked this dog because he was the boss of all the other dogs.
Overall the thought the show was pretty funny, and he had a good time. He has been talking about our date for the last few days, and he can't wait to go next week on a "guys day out" with Ari to see a magic show.
