Seattle

Ari and I went without the kids (thanks mom!) to Seattle for my friend Dylan's wedding.

On Friday we rode the ferry to Bremerton for a happy hour with a view of the water.

I was so excited to see Dylan.

I might have had a little too much fun.

Here we are on the way back.

On Saturday Ari and I went to the Pike Place Market, Pioneer Square, and the Olympic Sculpture park.  While we were in the Olympic Sculpture park we saw the naked bike riders. Let's just say it was an interesting sight.

Here is a busker at the market.  He actually was playing the guitar on his head while hula hooping when I started taking this picture.

I went with Dylan to get my hair done that afternoon.  We had so much fun getting her ready for the wedding.

The wedding was at the Center for Wooden Boats. It was inside and outside, and the weather was so nice.  I actually got a little cold by the end.

Ari and I were sure someone would fall in the water by the end of the night, but no one did.

Here I am with Jessica, another one of Dylan's roommates from college, and her sister Taylor.

Here I am with the bride, Dylan.  She looked beautiful.

The next morning, Ari and I started off the day by going to the EMP in the Seattle Center.  I am such a nerd, and I loved it.

This is me in one of the thrones from the set of the "Game of Thrones".

Here are some costumes from the Wizard of Oz.

The Princess Bride!

Harry Potter!

Ari got to stand next to Christopher Reeve's superman costume.

Here is a Dalek. If you aren't nerdy enough to know what a Dalek is, don't ask. You might embarrass me.

They had this really cool shadow thing.  I didn't realize there were going to be altered to look like monsters before I stepped in front of it.  Pretty hilarious.

That afternoon we went on a bus tour to some of the Washington state wineries.  Here are Dylan and Gabe getting ready for the beer and orange juice mimosas that were served on the bus.

It was pretty crazy on this bus.

This is Dylan's family doing a line dance together while driving.

The weather at the wineries was amazing.

That night we went to dinner at Dylan's apartment.  This mail box was cracking us up because it still says Jessica and I's names from so long ago. The biggest event of the night was that I ate Indian food!

Ari and I went the next morning to see the Chihuly museum.

There was some really beautiful stuff.

We ate so much good food, and we had a fantastic time.  We did miss our guys though.  My mom was so great watching them for us.

Here is a picture of Tahl as an angry pirate that I took after I got back.  He was so excited to see me in the morning.
Zev is actually with his grandparents this week in San Francisco.  I will be going to pick him up this weekend.  I hope Rachel is taking lots of pictures, and I will post them on here.

Out of the Mouths of Babes

The hilarity never ends around here.  In just the past two days I have heard the following:

Tahl while in the middle of playing, for no reason at all... : I don't love you, I love daddy.

Tahl: I'm super duper hungry for those crackers.

Tahl: Mommy, hold my hand so I don't get "loosed" for ever.

Zev's teacher told me today the he just walked up to her to hug her and said: "You know I love you."

Zev's teacher wrote her name on a paper person as an example to show the kids what to do.  He asked her if he could keep it.  She told him that he could make his own, and he didn't want hers. He said, "I want them both. I want yours so I can remember you forever." He can be pretty sweet when he wants to.

Tahl was walking around with the bell the boys were given by Santa on the polar express train. I heard him saying: See you later Santa. And give me presents Santa. I love you Santa.

I was telling Tahl to try to hold in his tee tee in his body. I looked at him and saw Tahl literally holding his privates. Maybe he doesn't understand me as well as I thought.

Here is a picture of Mr. T playing with the clock.  He was telling me, "it's 2, 4 o'clock."

the past two weeks

Last week, Zev had his first soccer game! He did so great! He had a few behavior issues, but he kept up with everyone, and he tried really hard.

Here he is playing.

Tahl went to a tea party play date last week.

He had a great time.  He was sure the tea was soup though to be eaten with a spoon.

Yum.

Last weekend I took Z to the movies to see Monster's University. The flash did not work out.

He did not exactly sit still, but he didn't get up and run around the theater like last year either.

On Sunday, I asked Zev what he wanted for breakfast, and he asked for a "fruit face."

Here is Tahl on Monday playing with Gia.

They were walking all over holding hands.  When I told Tahl we were going to play with Mikey and Anthony (Gia's brothers,) he said, "No. I like Gia." He also asked me at least ten times at the pool the day before where she was whenever he couldn't see her.

Here he is following Gia on the play ground.

Zev and Tahl both wore their shirts like this for dinner. They told me they were both a chef.

Here is T at that birthday party the previous Sunday. The guys had a great time swimming and eating cupcakes.

On Tuesday, I went into Zev's room and saw this.  They were "driving a car."  Tahl is trying to hide so I don't realize he has a paci.

He pulled it out to say cheese for the camera.

Last, today Zev made art for Noah, Jaren, and Harper that we haven't had a chance to mail yet.  We sounded out these words together.

Then he drew them this picture on the back. He made me write about it. It says, "This is a big alien. It has crosses around his legs, and his nose is on top of his honker. He has toes painted with toe nail polish. He has lots of fingers, and his hands are painted with toe nail polish too. He has too many fingers. One hand is as big as a giant mommy and daddy hand."
I'll try to get more pictures this week!
