After our time in Atlanta, we drove with the kids to the Orange Beach/Gulf Shores area of Alabama. The first day we got there, the water was over run with jellyfish. We had lots of time to play in the sand.
The next day we tried a beach a little farther along into Gulf Shores and had some more luck.
Everyone (but me) was still stung at least once by a jellyfish, but the kids had lots more fun.
After Maya was stung by a jellyfish, she REALLY did not want to go back in the water. She loved playing in the sand though, and she likAled having me make her a mermaid tail.
All of the boys really loved playing on the boogie boards we brought along.
The kids really loved playing at the beach, and they can't wait to go back again soon.
