We celebrated yet another quarantine birthday! Zev turned eleven, at home, but he still had lots of fun doing it.
He enjoyed his traditional ninja hallway.
Then we had a waffle extravaganza! We had yummy waffles with lots of choices for toppings.
Thanks for the birthday selfie Zev.
He took a picture of his waffle too.
Everyone loved the waffle breakfast.
Next we opened presents.
Zev got some cool games from Pops and Gram.
He also got a really cool giant lego set from his Mimi and Craig.
Maya and Isaac got a really cool sky pod swing from Buby. It arrived between their birthdays, so we decided to go ahead and set it up. They are LOVING it.
Zev had a zoom with his 5th grade class, and they sang him happy birthday. He even attended part of it in the new swing.
Then our doorbell rang, and it was the Liles family!
Zev's best friend made him this awesome sign.
He hung it up in his room in a very inconvenient spot.
Here is Zev drawing at his other favorite new present. It is a cool drawing desk from his Buby and Buster.
We took the poster Zev made up to visit our speech pathologist and favorite special ed teachers! It was so nice to see teachers these boys love in person, and we get to see their classroom teachers (in a drive by format) on Wednesday.
On an unrelated note to Zev's birthday, Maya's new goggles came in the mail. She is not so sure about them yet, but we are going to try our best to teach her to swim in them!
I made Zev take the traditional picture in front of the birthday wreath before he could have his special birthday dinner of salmon, buttered noodles, and spinach apple salad.
Then the dream he has had for years finally came true! He got his dream banana split.
And Isaac did some really passionate happy birthday singing.
Hooray!
We honored Buster by giving the boys whipped cream mouths.
Zev really loved all his birthday calls and messages, but chatting with his Uncle Oren was his favorite as usual.
He liked chatting with Rowan too!
Overall, Zev said he had the best day. Thanks to everyone who helped us make it special! We loved celebrating Z, and we are looking forward to our birthday celebration trip in two weeks!
