We've been busy!

We have been super busy thanks to two weeks of swimming lessons every morning. We have been going to speech, OT, and play dates in the afternoon, so we really haven't been home much. 

Here is Zev sneaking some jelly beans... 

Last Friday we didn't have swimming lessons, so we went to the park with friends for play time and a picnic.  Here is Zev with his friend Gia.

I think that's what they get for hiding between these two tunnels.

Zev was so proud because this was his big plan and everyone copied him. 

The kids were digging in the dirt with sticks.  Zev also shaved his legs by rubbing dirt all over them...

Here are the guys at home.  They thought it was so much fun to eat dinner in the yard at the picnic table.

 Zev has been trying to read some, and he has been doing great.  Earlier this week after he worked hard reading, Zev made some chocolate bananas.

Last week, Tahl cried every single day of swimming lessons.  This week he has been doing great!  Here he is with his teacher. 

Zev has been doing really well too.  Here he is just playing with toys on the side of the pool after the lessons were over. 

The swimming lesson pool has a splash park right next to it which is great. Right after I took this picture Zev fell and scraped up his elbow. He was NOT happy about it.

We leave Saturday for the Disney Cruise and then visiting Ari's grand parents. There will hopefully be lots of pictures when we get back! 

Out of the Mouths of Babes, Part 2

The hilarity around here never ends. Here are a few more funny things I've over heard in the last week.

Zev (to me): You made me 100% angry! You are ruining my life!

Zev (to Tahl while he was crying because I wouldn't give him more jelly beans) : Tahli! Tell her she's ruining your life!!

Ari:  Thanks for going to the grocery store with me today Zev.

Zev: It was my honor. 

me: That isn't a letter "i".  That is actually an exclamation point.

Zev: A dalmation point? 

Zev: Yea! Tahli tee tees in the potty! And then he lost his loose tooth. (No idea why he said this...)

Tahl:  I don't have a loose tooth! I have a penis!

These two guys are crazy! 

We had a fun week around here. Zev and I made an early Father's Day gift. 

It's a box for Ari to keep paper clips on his desk. 

The two guys both got hair cuts at my friend Catherine's house. 

Zev got a big kid hair cut. He thought the clippers really tickled. 

Tahl was playing with her baby Elyas.  He is so sweet. 

Zev's big guy hair cut is really cute. 

We got our photo book from the last year in the mail.  Ari and Tahl were having fun looking at it. 

 Zev helped me make sponge balls. 

 Here is one of our creations.

Tahl was busy covering his body with peanut butter. 

Then we went outside to play with the sponge balls. 

We were having them fun throwing them at each other. 

The guys were also throwing them at the wall, the fence, the slides, etc... 

 You might notice Tahl is in his undies.   He hasn't had an accident in TWO days! We are still taking him every 30 minutes, but he's doing really well. 

Zev was having a great time squeezing them out on his head.

Tahl is getting so good at smiling on cue!  How cute is this? 

Zev's really improving in looking at the camera as well. 

I went inside to refill the bucket, and I came back out to find two naked guys.  As soon as I opened the door, they yelled, "We peed in the grass!"

We start swimming lessons for both boys tomorrow.  Fingers crossed that it goes well! 

the rest of our week...

We had a lot of fun while Ari was out of town (though we did really miss him!)

Here are the guys on a nature walk.  Tahl  declared it story time, so they sat down to tell a story.  Tahl's story was about how there was a frog in a tree. The end.  Then Zev told a story about his new bike.

On Friday we went to the zoo with Mimi, Kade, and Melody.  Here are the guys on the crocodile statue.

Here I am with my friends on Saturday night.  It was a Great Gatsby party.  I definitely dressed up the least.  

 

I had lots of fun, but I was sad I missed the chance to force Ari to dress up. 

The other big even of the weekend was POTTY TRAINING! 

Tahl has only gone in this potty once, but he did sit on it all morning.

Tahl chased Mimi out of the house while naked. I, of course, stopped to take a picture.

We took a potty training break to go to a soccer clinic for Zev. 

Zev had a great time, and he did really well.  Hopefully he will think it is just as fun when it is a real game with only one ball. 

Here is a paper Zev made for Tahl to celebrate him using the potty.  It says "Zev, TO: Tahl" (He forgot the A, but oh well.) I didn't tell him how to spell any of it, so I was pretty proud of him. 

Today on Monday we did a naked day for Tahl all day.

This is a little video of Zev singing the potty song he sings for Tahl after he goes to the potty. 

Tahl goes almost every time we take him.  I've just been taking him every 30 minutes. He only had one accident for each of the last two days, but today's was really bad... Hopefully we will be able to venture out soon and move from 30 minutes to 45. Think positive thoughts for us!
