State Fair!

I pulled the boys out of school early to go to the State Fair.  Ari really doesn't love it like we do, so he stayed home with Maya.

Here are the boys just floating in space...

Zev really wanted to look at all of the things in this exhibit about how Martin Luther King Jr. came to Dallas.  He got to look for a little while, but Isaac was a little restless.

Zev was most excited to see these papers with Dr. King's actual handwriting on them.

Next we went over to the pig races.

We were a little early so Zev got lucky, and they asked him to be the red team cheerleader.

He cheered very loudly, and our little pig even won one of the three races.

Next we went over to the new baby animal and birthing area.

They boys really liked watching a chick hatch.

And who doesn't love baby piglets?

This cow was about to give birth any minute.  We didn't stay for the whole thing though because it could take around an hour they said. Zev was really interested though.

Here is Isaac with big Tex's head carved out of butter. Yum.

Zev got REALLY LUCKY a second time. He got called up on stage to be sawed into pieces!

Here is a video of the action.

Tahl loves the petting zoo.  Each boy got a little cup to feed the animals, and I think Tahl managed to feed everything.

More cute baby pigs!

Here is Isaac feeding a llama.

We went to the little kids areas where the kids learn about things that are grown in Texas.

Then we stopped for a picture in front of this mural. When you have kids this cute, you have to take all the picture opportunities.

Zev and Tahl rode this first.

Tahl really loved this fun house.  He is the yellow shirt up on the second floor.

Zev is inside the Starship 3000.  He said it was great. Ari and I took our engagement pictures here, so the kids and I were reenacting it.

This one too.

They had to watch Vocal Trash. They just love to see these people play precussion with trash.

Tahl rode on the rollarcoaster with Isaac for me.

Then Isaac rode in the sidecar instead of on the motorcycle.  Crazy kid.

At least I got him to fly in the front of the plane.

Then the kids wanted to visit the cars.

Here they were pretending they were bank robbers (again...) and this was their getaway car.

I made them stop for Big Tex pictures with me before they could leave!

I even got one with everyone looking!

We had the best day at the fair.  It remains one of our favorite things to do every year, and poor Ari might even have to come next year.

Pumpkin Pictures

We got up bright and early on Columbus day to head out the arboretum.  The boys love to go there to see the pumpkins (and I want the pictures...) They really love to go on a Monday when there is free face painting!

How cute are these three?

Zev loves to pose for pictures (because he wants to earn screen time.)

He really wanted a cute picture of himself with Maya.

This cutie still poses like a little guy.

He really wanted a picture with Maya too.

And the third guy who wanted his picture with Miss Popular!

Maya wasn't the smiliest, but at least I got all four kids looking! I am calling this a win!

We took some time to play too.  I think Isaac is Captain Hook.

He wanted another picture with Maya on the bench.

The boys all tried to help me get a picture of Maya in the pumpkins.

We got this silly face.

She's not so sure here.

This is Tahl's pirate face.

We waited a LONG time for face painting.

The boys decided to all three be skeletons this year.

They were very spooky.

We got to have a picnic on the lawn and watch and Eddie Coker concert.  He is a fun kids singer.

Isaac was doing some serious dancing.

After the sweat and an itchy face, this is what Tahl looked like when we got home. We decided he was the Tin Man.

Noah's bar mitzvah

We got hardly any pictures of Noah's big bar mitzvah weekend.  The boys had the best time celebrating Noah though and seeing their cousins.

Here is our family on the way into the bar mitzvah ceremony at the temple.

Here are Ari and Maya that night at the party.

Tahl is the sweetest, and he loves to spend time visiting with his great grand parents.  Here he is with his Buby Mary.

Here we all are the night of the party. It was at the College Football Hall of Fame. It was so perfect. Tova really thought of everything.

Here are Isaac, Maya, Tahl, and I with Grandpa George the next morning at the brunch.

The kids really love being together with family, and we are so lucky that Ari's family all travels to be together so often.

Maya is five months old!

We tried to have Maya's five month pictures.  She is already too big for the pink blanket, so I didn't plan this out very well.

She is also starting to get really wiggly so the pictures will get harder and harder to get!

Look at that wiggly foot on those long legs of hers!

Maya is still super sweet and happy.  She is still a consistent eater and a great sleeper.

She is really starting to look less like a newborn and more like a bigger baby!

We all love this girl, and we are having so much fun watching her grow.

She really loves her brothers, and she giggles almost every time she even sees Tahl.
