Spring break!

On the first morning of spring break the boys and I decided to go to the arboretum even though it was a little big rainy.

We almost had the whole place to ourselves.

We had a lot of time to make funny faces for the camera.

They had to have pictures in front of the special flower power display.

As much as they fight, these two guys sure do love each other.

Then we went to get our faces painted. The line is usually forty five minutes long, but we were the first ones there! Tahl got a white tiger for the third time in a row.

Isaac picked out a pink butterfly.  When he saw himself he said, "I look FANTASTIC!" He was so happy.

Zev wanted to be a zombie, and he ended up a pretty creepy skull.

We went to the petting zoo to pet and brush the animals next.

Cheese!

We did the Children's Garden next, and the boys enjoyed the wind tunnel.

Sadly, this guy did not end his day on a high note. I tried really hard not to giggle, I promise.

His week got a lot better though because he and Ari traveled to Park City.  Karen and Gregg paid for Zev to go to ski lessons for three days, and he had an amazing time. We are so lucky to have grandparents who fly Zev to town to spend time with him and help his dreams come true.

The two boys and I stayed behind and had some fun too.

We had a great play date with Maddie and Ella at Play Date Company.

We had a lot of fun at our friend King's fourth birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese.

Isaac had never been to Chuck E. Cheese since he was old enough to play games.  He is still talking about it.

On the last day of spring break, I told the guys to the zoo to check out the baby elephant.

I don't have a picture, but I can't talk about that trip to the zoo and not mention that Tahl was peed on by a lion.  We were watching the training show when the lion decided to let loose on the front row.  Tahl was a little grossed out, but he handled it well.  Isaac and I thought it was pretty funny.

We never head out with out a carousel ride or two.

Overall, we had a very fun spring break, and we are looking forward to summer vacation!

Glennon!

My Aunt Lisa bought us all tickets to see my favorite blogger and personal hero, Glennon Doyle Melton.  Here we are before the speech.

We even got to meet her before!

I got to tell her about how I've loved her for years, and that we shared the same minister.

She was just as amazing in person as she is in writing.

And a big shout out to my dad and Stacy for babysitting Isaac so I could go! He had so much fun being the only kid with them.

Jack and the Bean Stalk

The boys and I went to the Dallas Children's Theater to see Jack and the Beanstalk with puppets.

It was really neat how they did it, and after they turned the lights on and showed everyone how the puppets worked. It was so cool to see how they did it all.

As always, the guys loved getting everyone's autographs.

Big News!

We have decided to begin the process to adopt a baby girl! Ari and I couldn't be more excited.  The boys talk about it everyday too. Tahl and Isaac are sure that we should name her "Margaret" after Daniel Tiger's baby sister.  Here are Isaac and I mailing off the first set of paperwork.

We have been super busy since then getting things in order.  From the home study to the paperwork to the physicals to the finger prints, this is a little mini part time job for me.

Please pray for us that everything goes smoothly because we can't wait to add one last baby to our family!

Isaac's Month

Isaac had a busy February with school and hanging out with his mom.

Here he is at the computer.  He told me that he was buying Mimi a tree.

He and I went on a date to the zoo alone.

We were very excited to see the koalas both awake!

This snake was up and moving around. He was very interested in Isaac.

Isaac screamed and ran away as fast as he could. This guy is not a fan of snakes.

We are sad that the zoo got rid of the pony rides, but Isaac did enjoy the new mud kitchen.

He loves to rake.

Here are two attempts at a selfie with the elephants by Isaac.

We even got in some fuzzy carousel ride pictures.

Another day we had a play date with friends, and then we went out on a lunch date afterward.  Isaac walked into the restaurant and told the hostess that he needed chips and queso.  He loves Mexican food.

Zev's Month

Zev had a regular February.  He was busy with school and playing with his brothers.  Here he is after collecting food with other cub scouts on the playground.

Here he is a fun birthday party that was after school in the gym.  He had a great time.

My month

I got to go on a girls weekend with some friends to Fredericksburg.

We had such an amazing time and toured a few wineries.

Ari and I also had a big night out at the school's 80's auction. I made him dress up as Marty McFly.

I even got a picture with Tahl's teacher.  He was pretty impressed.

Tahl's month

Tahl had a fun February!

Here he is at a school performance in the gym. I got an amazing video of the dance, but I can't get the file small enough to load.

He got lots of Valentine's and was pretty impressed with his first school Valentine's day.

His class celebrated the 100th day of school.

He made a very cute old man.

Here is the whole class together.

Kindergarten is so fun.
