Zev's birthday weekend

On Friday afternoon we went to Build-a-Bear in the mall.  Tahl was so excited to get a new outfit for Nala.

She looks pretty fancy in her new outfit.

Zev made a bear and got an outfit.  Meet his new friend "Darth Vader Fluffy Bear."
I hope to never pay $50 for a bear again, but he has at least slept with him every night since he came home.

Oren came in town to visit us. I some how got NO pictures of him?? I did, however, get this picture of Tahl playing with the present Oren brought him.

And on continues the rein of the unicorn in our house...

Zevi got a one man bubble bath, which was on his birthday list.

The big guys went with Ari and Oren to play at Kid Mania.

We all went out to lunch at Jimmy's for sandwiches after, and poor Isaac was very tired.

We had a big dinner out that night thanks to Buby and Buster. Again, I somehow failed at getting a picture of everyone, but Zev really liked Texas de Brazil. He loves meat and cheese, so he really couldn't go wrong there.

We set up his birthday door after Oren left at 4 in the morning...

Here is a little video of the balloons falling in. Please ignore my singing.

Zev had a good time with the balloons.

Then he got to take another birthday bath and open his presents.

He was so excited to get Mip, the robot that he has been talking about for a long time.

He also got another snap circuits set from his Buby and Buster.

He got books from his brothers.

Boy does this kid love to read.

Especially Shel Silverstein poems.

Ari made his this great birthday morning breakfast.

Posing with Mip.

He actually spent most of his birthday at school.   That might be one of the worst things about having a big kid!  When he got home, he got to play with his new toys and some old ones.  You can see the two birthday ribbons he was so proud of on his shirt.

Here he is trying out snap circuits.
(With a princess photo bomber...)

He wanted cookies for his birthday, but he had to still blow out a candle or two of course.

We love you Zev, and can't wait for you to grow another year older!

Tahl's recital

Tahl was very excited for his dance rehearsal on Thursday.

That is, until it was time to dance.

He kept getting frustrated and throwing his hands up.  Then he would walk off to me.  It was too funny.

He put on some "brave potion" on the day of the real recital.

He also brought his schmata, and he was excited to try again.

He went up on stage on this day to wave and get his picture taken, which was already a better start than on Thursday.

We went back to wait in the audience.  He got his picture made with his Mimi.

We got to check out his group's picture in the front of the theatre.
This was definitely pre-hair cut.

Here he is actually performing.  He is the first one on the right.

He is always about two beats behind the other kids, and I think he gets that from his mom.
We could not be more proud of him for over coming his fears! He danced up on the stage in front of a hundred people, and he was so happy with himself too.

11 months

I can't believe Isaac is already eleven months old.  He has fun with Tahli during his photo shoot.

It may not look like it here, but he thought this was very funny.

He has been making trouble all over the house.  He opens every drawer and door to take out the contents.  His very favorite is to eat paper.  That is why he is so happy here.

He is eating anything he finds on the ground. I found a sticker in his diaper this week. I have removed toilet paper, dirt, and wood chips from his mouth this week.  Yesterday, he ate a part of a bar of soap and actually had soap bubbles coming from his mouth.

Isaac loves his brothers. He likes to hug them and try to chew on them.

Isaac is still taking four bottles a day and eating lots of table food.

He loves to pull up and crawl over things.

He loves to take ALL the books off the shelf. He isn't so sure about reading them unless they have different textures.

Having his picture made was very tiring. He is still taking two naps a day from 9-10 and 1-2:15ish.
This week he has finally started picking up a few signs too.  He is trying to sign "milk" and "more". He still only says "da da" and "hi," but I think he is trying to ask what things are from time to time.  I really don't want him to grow, but if he has to, I am looking forward to him saying more and more.

Butterflies!

Tahl, Isaac, and I went to a butterfly festival today at the mall. Tahl was a little nervous to hold the butterflies by himself.  Here he is helping me.

He got a little brave!

His friends were wearing the butterflies on their clothes and in their hair.

In this fuzzy picture you can see on on me. Isaac was trying so hard to catch them.  I think he thought they would be a tasty snack.

This time when Tahl held the butterfly, he panicked. He dropped the stick and was very scared.
We decided to leave the tent.

We went on to lunch with our friends.   Tahl's kids meal came with these glasses. He calls himself a smarty pants in them. Then he tells me facts that he knows.

Tahl even let his brothers try them on later at the grocery store.

Tahl also wanted to take a selfie with Isaac.
He LOVES his brothers.

Last week

We have had a fun week. Here is Isaac on a play ground.

The big guys went to a Big Hero 6 party last weekend.

I got Isaac naked for the bath and told the other boys to get ready too. When I came in, I saw this!

How cute are these three tushies???

Isaac is a messy eater!

We went to the arboretum last Tuesday with friends.

Tahl is a frog resting here.

Isaac had a great time crawling around in the water.

Ribbit!

How cute is this baby?
(Ignore the trashy diaper...)

When we got home, Isaac was so tired that he slipped when he was crawling. I picked him up and took him out to get the mail to see if he would calm down outside.  I realized on the way in that he had a blood nose!  Poor baby.

Last weekend was my birthday and mother's day.  Ari made me a present (besides the ones I bought myself.) I love my new jewelry holder.  Isn't he handy?

Our week

We went to the zoo last weekend.  We had a lot of fun at the animal training. The elephants were doing tricks to get apples.

The world's goofiest boy loved it.

He just won't keep that tongue in his mouth.

He even got to ride an elephant on the carousel.

He's actually pretty cute when he puts that tongue away.

Later that day, I was putting Isaac in bed, and when I came out the two big boys had gotten out their own board game and were playing together nicely.  It didn't last for long, but it was sweet while it did.

Isaac has a very good time playing in the play room now. He loves to dig in the toys.

This week, Zev got an awesome ribbon at school! He did his cursive page without getting in trouble and without any extra marks or coloring on it. His teachers were so happy they sent him to the office to get a special ribbon.

Today we took Isaac to the JCC for shabbat to bless the babies that were born in the past year. Here is Tahl during a song with his friend.

Isaac was crawling everywhere and making a lot of noise.  I think he really enjoyed his blessing!
