More school

This is me in Tahl's classroom reading Elmer.

We painted elephants patchwork.

Here is Zev drawing flowers.

Class salad day

Yum!

This was feel a tree day.

How funny are all these blind folded kids?

Last week was Zev's turn at Shabbat!

Here he is giving money for tzedakah.

Look at this hilarious face as his friend lights the candle.

Yikes!

Not so nervous when it is his turn.

His face got all scratched up in a bush.

How cute are they saying the prayers?

so sweet

 Holding up the kiddush cup.

I love the yarn yarmulke.

And last but not least, it's almost time for challah.
How cute are they?  What a great idea by Zev's teachers.

Heard Museum

Today we took Zev, Tahl, and Kade to the Heard Museum. We got to see the dinosaurs alive exhibit.

Roar!

Tahl held that map for the entire trip.

Zev looked at this dinosaur and said, "Does he have undies in his mouth?"  He told me he didn't know dinosaurs ate fish.

Just walking in the woods...

It was too sunny for Zev to look up at us.

Two cute guys and a scary dinosaur

They were very concerned that this dinosaur had no legs.

 He was eating Kade!

 Picking some dinosaur boogers!

Tahl wanted his picture on the dinosaur too.

Here's my tiny guy looking at the big dinosaur.  When every dinosaur would roar, Tahl would say, "That roar means tickle me!" Then he would walk away telling the dinosaur, "I can't tickle you now.  I have to leave..."

The guys had fun digging for dinosaur bones too.

CREEPY raccoon!

Super cute raccoon

Owl Kade

And my favorite, owl Ari!

I think he did not realize he isn't supposed to climb out of the hole...

Next we went to see the snakes.

 This is Tahl's snake face.

 And his nervous face...
While we were looking at the snakes, my mom tickled Tahl from behind. He jumped and yelled "No!" while brushing her off.  It was pretty funny. This guy cracks us up where ever we go.

Random...

Just another little picture of Zev with a pen behind his ear! He LOVES his dad.

Last weekend Ari had to work on Sunday, so the boys and I went to the zoo alone.  This was Tahl's first ride on the train to see the animals.

Zev always begs, so I let him go. He was so excited, for about the first *five* minutes of the train ride.

He got a little bored after that, hence, the selfie.

family shot

Later that week, Tahl was playing at "hiding from monsters" on the couch with his Mimi.

This is a cute little picture that Zev drew of him and Gram. It was hung up in his classroom at school, and I noticed it. Gram thought it was pretty cute too.

We made a "thankful tree" last week too. The guys and I went on a walk to collect branches.  Then we traced these leaves and cut them out. Each guy told me some things they were thankful for, and I wrote some down too.  My favorite one is Zev being thankful for "being silly."

On Friday afternoon, my grandfather Papa Jon was in town.  He had never met Zev and Tahl before, so this was a chance for him to meet them while we played at the park. It was great to see him after at least 7 or 8 years.

Later this week, this guy was letting "Jolene and Gerald" ride on his bike.  He was trying to help give them a ride.

On Saturday night we went to dinner with friends.  Tahl had fun eating at the table with Gavin.

Tahl also had lots of dancing while Anna played the banjo.

Here he is turning in LOTS of circles with his friends.

On Monday Zev got these two ribbons at gymnastics!

He was really excited, especially about the spider stand for 32 seconds.  His teacher told me his longest time ever before ribbon day was 16 seconds. He was so excited about it.
I need to try to get more pictures! I know I will definitely get a lot when we got to Utah for a week for Thanksgiving.

The many performances of Tahl

Tahl is quite the performer these days.  Here he is dancing his "Carolina dance" as a naked cowboy.  When he gets tired of dancing, he just goes off to play frogs with Kade.

Tahl loves to sit on a stool and play his guitar.  Here he is singing "Hakuna Matata." You even get to hear Ari sing a little too.

In this video, he is singing another one of his favorites, "Heigh Ho."  My favorite part is when he changes his voice and then applauds himself.

Last is Tahl singing the alphabet.  He goes off a little at the end.  I, unfortunately, ended the video right before he sings, "Thank you for helping me sing my letters!"

He also loves to sing "Let it Be," "Hey Jude," "C is for Cookie," and a silly song about a frog from school. I'll have to try to catch him on camera singing a few more of his favorites.
