On the fourth of July we went to a state park to hike.
We got in the creek to cool off and play after.

Suddenly I looked over and realized the boys were climbing the rocks of the man made waterfall.
Ari even got in on the fun.
He decided to try it from the top.
Zev wast the only kid to try it from up so high.
Zev made an awesome rock tower.
Isaac was more interested in climbing up the rocks than sliding down the waterfall.
We got some fun ice cream and sno cones too.
When your whole family goes to the creek and hiking on a muddy trail, you have to wash a lot of shoes.
While we were walking back from the creek, the boys stopped to pet a dog. They put their walking sticks down on the ground. When they were done, I bent down to pick them up. I got my hands about a food up in the air when I realized I was holding a snake that was about three feet long. It looked a lot like this water snake. Needless to say, I did some screaming.
Later that week, we met my mom in Denton for more sno cones and a trip to the bookstore.
We also went for a fun summer trip to the arboretum.
On our way out, we noticed they had a face painting area set up! Everyone had to participate.
How cute is this happy butterfly?
We had fun in the petting zoo too.
Zev LOVES donkeys. I am not sure where it started, but he talks about donkeys daily, so he was quite excited to pet one. Tahl worked with one at his camp at Heritage Farms, so he was teaching us all about them.
I found this girl napping on the floor.
This week Zev does not have camp, but the other boys do. He and I have been cooking something every day. We made lemon bars on Monday, then he learned to do chicken nuggets and macaroni on Tuesday, Wednesday he made this beautiful blue berry pie, and Thursday I taught him grilled cheese and tomato soup.
Saturday we leave for Utah, and we can't wait to see our whole family all together after so long.
